Will The Bin Fit In My Driveway?

Our biggest bin is just under 8 ft wide and our truck is very compact. Most driveways leave more than enough room for us. If you're at all concerned about your site, give us a call or send us a text.

Can the bin be placed on any surface?

We would love a flat, hard surface like a driveway to place the bin on. Very steep driveways or soft ground should be avoided. If you have a steep driveway or soft surface, give us a call and we will work with you to figure out the bin placement. If you are placing a bin on the street you need to have a permit from your town or city.

Do I need to be home when you deliver the bin?

No, you do not need to be home. We will set up a delivery time with you and drop it off. But if you are around, pop out and say hello!

when do i pay for my bin rental?

We offer a very easy and convenient online booking tool. During the online booking process you will pay for the bin rental as well as the minimum 1 tonne dumping fee. You will be sent an invoice after we dump the bin for any extra dumping fees that occur. The invoice will come via the email address provided during the booking process.

how much are dumping fees?

Your bin booking includes 1 tonne of material. When we dump your bin, if it has more than 1 tonne or material in it, the extra weight will be invoiced pro-rated to the exact amount @ $110/tonne.

if my bin is over 1 tonne, how do i pay for the additional weight?

We will send you an electronic invoice to the email provided when you booked the bin. The invoice will have a link so you can pay via Credit card, but you can also send an etransfer to info@bearcreekbins.ca, or mail us a cheque to the address on the invoice.

how long can i keep my bin?

Your bin rental is for up to 7 days. If you are done with your bin before the 7 days give us a call and we will pick it up! If you are not done, give us a call to keep the bin for up to 7 additional days. The additional fee is $10.00/day.

What size bin should I get?

If you're disposing of something heavy like sand, gravel, dirt, or concrete, then you have to get the 4 yard bin. Otherwise, we always encourage you to go with the 14 yard since it and the 7 yard are the same price. We really only recommend the 7 yard bin if you've got a tight spot, or very limited amount of stuff to dispose of.

What if I need to cancel or change my rental booking?

You can cancel or change your rental booking up to 24 hours ahead of your booking date with no charge. Please call us to let us know. Thanks!

do i have to book online?

No, you don’t. Helen or Brent would be happy to hear from you to book your bin rental.

what materials are not allowed in the bin?

Please don’t place any of the following in the bin - Liquids of any kind, Asbestos, Tires, Refrigerant based appliances (includes refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers), Household waste (food, diapers, etc.), Propane tanks, Fluorescent Lightbulbs, Chemicals, Dead Animals, or Medical Waste.

do bins have any capacity restrictions?

Yes they do. The weight capacity of the bins is 3 tonnes (6600 lbs). Please do not over fill the bins. All material has to fit below the top edge of the bin.

how is your fuel surcharge calculated?

Our fuel surcharge is not just some arbitrary percentage, but a calculated value based on average kms driven per bin rental and the actual mileage our truck gets. The surcharge covers the difference in cost between current fuel prices and a baseline of $1.50/L
